Waves Vibrated me

I had never seen more than one dead body in a same place. That is the first time. Each truck would have carried at-least thirty bodies including children whose age not more than one year!. Five such trucks crossed me as I was stunned!.............................................................................................................................................

That was a Black Sunday, very next day to Christmas. That is 26th of December. As I woke up at 6 A.M. the Sunday requested me to sleep further. So I slept again.I didn't go for my regular jog to the nearby beach. That was the first and last in my life that my laziness saved my soul. Finally I Got up at 8 AM while my mother was scolding me on my laziness. I found the absence of my father and sister in home and en-quired about it to my brother. He told that father was officially out of station and sister went to computer class. Now I took the tooth brush and kept it in my mouth half asleep.

Suddenly all our fellow apartment members rushing downwards and I was shocked. I went to main road and I could find people shouting "Sea water raised and swallowed the coastal village" and running towards west. I rushed to the top of my apartment so that I can see the ocean some what clearly. And I found flood of sea water covered the Coastal village like a blanket, and our apartment is rescued by a river running parallel to the ocean. That river intakes most of the sea water.

That is the first time I saw the mother nature in a cruel way. The Sea so far I admired, washed away a whole village. It seemed that mother nature took a revenge on mankind.

Now my mother shouting my name. I ran to her, I found a yellow bag in one hand which might consists of some important documents and my brother in other hand. As I reached her, she pulled me out of the apartment and ran to the main road. While going to main road my brother asked my mother that he want to go to the beach to save the people as if he is a Super man. My mother didn't allow him.
We reached the main road now. There we found our neighbors and some of my street friends talking about this sudden incident with fear. I started talking to my friends. When I was talking, a big truck crossed us. And my god! it consists of Dead bodies.

I did not seen more than one dead body in a same place. That is the first time. Each truck would have carried at-least thirty bodies including children whose age not more than one year!. Five such trucks crossed me as I was stunned! I found the dead bodies are wet, covered by sand in their nose, ears etc,. While the trucks crossing us, my mother insisted me not to look those trucks!

Now my mother failed to look up on my brother. She lost my stupid brother. And no one in the crowed was in the mood to help us in searching my brother. Now my mother was hopeless. She sat in front of a closed petty shop and started crying. As a 14 year old boy I don't know what to do. Whether go in search of my brother in that dangerous crowd or stay safely with my mother. I decided to stay with my mother.
Again there was a big noise! All people were shouting that another wave was coming. I became nervous. That big noise, the siren sounds, my lost brother, all made me to go faint. But I manged to be conscious. And now I requested my mother to ran towards west. But she refused to come. I said nothing but scolding my brother inside.

Suddenly I saw a familiar face on the other side of road who is watching the crowd innocently . I rubbed my eyes twice and then confirmed. Its my stupid brother. As he came closer to me I felt like slapping, hugging, kissing, crying. But my mother did what I felt.

Immediately we boarded a bus and the bus took us to the main bus stand. There we picked my sister from the computer center which is near to the bus stand. Then we boarded another bus and went to a relative's home which is 2o km away from my home. And we confirmed that my father was also safe in a non coastal area.

Only then we came to know about the wave. That is called as "TSUNAMI" the mighty waves. That day is the most memorable day in my life which gave me lot of experiences. And that waves left vibrations in my heart forever.
